Extensive scholarship opportunities are available to most students that are accepted for admissions of the KDI school.


International

Global Ambassador Scholarship
  • Benefits: Full tuition and monthly stipend for most recipients
  • Eligibility: Admitted international students
  • Admissions Period: Spring and fall admissions
  • How to Apply: There is no separate application. Most international students enrolled in a full-time Master’s program will automatically become candidates for this scholarship.
Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be currently employed in the public sector and meet one of the requirements below.
    (1) Division head or higher level in the public sector
    (2) Minimum 6 years of working experience in the public sector
  • Admissions Period: Spring and fall admissions
  • Additional Benefits: Specialized core courses and seminars in development issues
  • How to Apply: Applicants must complete and submit an online application for Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship and submit all the required documents including an employment verification letter demonstrating the eligibility.
  • *The Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship is awarded to a limited number of students and the GAS may be offered instead.
KOREA-IDB Scholarship
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Officials from Central Bank or Ministry of Finance in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama
  • Admissions Period: Spring and fall admissions
  • How to Apply: Each central bank is responsible for promoting this scholarship and recommending potential candidates. Any interested candidates may apply through respective offices.
POSCO Asia Fellowship
POSCO Asia Fellowship is sponsored by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, which is the world’s leading steel manufacturer
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Government officials from Asia
  • Admissions Period: Spring admissions only
  • How to Apply: There is no separate application. Candidates will be selected from among general applicants of the KDI School.
POSCO Africa Fellowship
POSCO Africa Fellowship is sponsored by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation, which is the world’s leading steel manufacturer.
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare*
  • Eligibility: Government officials from DR Congo and Zimbabwe
  • Admissions Period: Fall admissions only
  • How to Apply: There is no separate application. Candidates will be selected from among general applicants of the KDI School.
Airfare will be reimbursed after arrival in Korea. Reimbursement will be subject to the school regulations.
KOGAS Global Fellowship
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Candidates from Iraq and Mozambique recommended by the Korean Embassy in each country
  • Admissions Period: Fall admissions only
  • Program Duration: Two years

NIIED GKS-KGSP(Korean Government Scholarship Program)
  • Benefits: Full tuition, monthly stipend and round-trip airfare
  • Eligibility: Please read the application guideline.
  • Admissions Period: February 5 ~ March 28, 2014
  • Program Duration: September, 2014 ~ August, 2017
    - First Year: Korean language training at a designated institution
    - Second & Third Year : Master’s program at the KDI School
  • How to Apply
    Please download application guideline for 2014 NIIED GKS-KGSP below. Applicants should apply via either a designated university or a Korean embassy as indicated in the guideline.

Korean

KDI School Scholarship of Academic Excellence
This scholarship is granted to applicants who have exemplified academic excellence in their previous educational careers.
Dean's Merit Scholarship (Civil Organizations, NGOs, Media)
Applicants who are affiliated with civil organizations, NGOs, or the media may apply for this scholarship.
National Service Fellowship
This scholarship is granted to applicants who are public officials sent by the government, exclusive of the admissions quota.
